Roughly what does it cost to get a MLS listing established?
Can anybody list a house on MLS’s site? What do they charge to list on their site ? Thanks
Contact a REALTOR. You can check their credentials through your state’s Dept. of Real Estate website.
He will take the information about your home, take pictures and run a comp for you. Once you’ve decided on a realistic price to offer for the house, he can list it on the MLS. You should also sign an Exclusive Agency Agreement with him.
This means that he/she has the exclusive right to represent this sale for you for a given period of time, usually 6 months.
He’ll also provide a marketing plan for your home. You can shop around and ask different agents to come and interview with you, also.
Go with the one you think will best advertise and make marketing, advertising efforts to sell your home quickly and efficiently. One that is well known for being reputable and solid.
Start thinking of your home as a commodity, nothing more.
Until the Realtor sells your home, all the services are free.
