I would like more information on the homes that they are trying to develop just west of the Hollywood sign in Cahuenga Peak. I would like detailed information on these luxury homes and not information on saving the peak. Is there a website that provides this information?
I am doing this for a school project and I just need information on how they plan on building the homes.

You’re in the minority. Nobody cares about what they are proposing to put up there. Everyone is putting their efforts into saving the peak from the evil developers.

BTW, those McMansions are NEVER going to happen. Recession or not, people in LA will sell body fluids to save that area next to the Hollywood sign.

And no, there’s not a web site. The developer sees the writing on the wall, and is going to sell to the conservancy.

You’re not going to get detailed information. There are no architectural plans, no drawings, no prospectus, NOTHING. Get it? The developer just said he was going to build 7-10 large mansions. That’s it. So what you’re asking for doesn’t exist.

This program ensures that if a client should relapse within the first year, a client may return for twenty-eight days of treatment at no cost to the client.

I am thinking about entering a raffle where the prize is a new luxury furnished home that they say is a $5 million prize. I don’t even think a could afford a mortgage payment on the financing the income tax.

I’m doing a career planning unit in school and I have to know approximately how much a luxury home/estate payment would be monthly. Any idea?

depends on how luxurious were talking here but anywhere from $5000 and up i would consider high end.

I remember a few months ago, people were waiting in mile-long lineups for the "opportunity" to buy a Mc Mansion. Now they are gone, but I am sure that this desire to buy into a luxurious lifestyle could not have died so quickly, or could it?
So what exactly is happening in the housing market today?
Why are the people not buying homes like they once used to?
It is because their friends did not like the color of their wallpaper?

I "was" thinking about beginning to build in either Arizona, Las Vegas, or Southern California, because those are the fastest growing hot spots, but a friend once told me that it has cooled a bit since then. OK, so it will get hot again, and then those will be the best places to build, or will they?

these were selling so well because the mortgage companies were loosening their criteria’s for jumbo loans. as the economy continues to sink you will see many more of these dream homes go to foreclosure.

the market will not get hot for a couple years in those markets as the builders are sitting on thousands of brand new units that have to be purchased first.

the real market is to purchase existing structures from the bank for 25% of what it would cost you to build one then have it rehabbed. the trick is getting the money if you dont have cash.

Not really, but we need to start thinking about how much money these people spend, and how much we need to have wealthy people to help the rest of us survive. Really we do.

I agree with you on the bonuses. They should be able to keep their bonuses, but I doubt it will have as big as an impact on the economy as you think it will.

and What would You want a flyer to say if you were a luxury home seller? I a m a Realtor who is trying to break into the luxury home market.

Luxury home buyers are a different breed. I would suggest that you join a brokerage with a reputation for premier properties, then plan to advertise in glossy magazines, like The Robb Report, The Dupont Registry, The Wall Street Journal, and your local glossy magazine ("Naples Ilustrated" or "Sarasota Magazine" come to mind).

Also, do some volunteer time and attend fund raisers for local charities. You’ll meet potential customers and give back to your community – a win win.

If you are going to do a flyer, go to a printer or vendor who specializes in this kind of thing and pay for color glossies. You need to look high end if you are going to work in that price range. If you don’t have any listings of your own, include pictures of various Country Clubhouses (with their permission), golf courses, local amenities (like a beach or lake), high end restaurants in the neighborhood (with their permission), etc.

Include your own picture, dressed professionally.

Ultimately, the easiest way to get into this market is to meet people in this market – flyers and ads will only do so much. So get out there and volunteer your time, attend fund raisers, meet and greet.

I’m trying to find an ultra plush, luxury hotel to stay at in Malibu with the great views of the ocean, but when I do a seach nothing seems to come up. Are there no luxury hotels in Malibu to stay at?

The Malibu Beach Inn is wonderful- I don’t know why the people above don’t like it… Each room has have private hot tubs on the room balconies overlooking the ocean…

Very romantic, very chic… Pricey, though, and hard to get a reservation.
